Virginia Commonwealth University, the state's largest urban public research university, is located in Virginia's capital city, Richmond. Enrolling more than 23,100 students on the Academic and Medical College of Virginia (MCV) Campuses, the university offers 144 degree programs for full- and part-time students in its eleven schools and the College of Humanities and Sciences. The Evening Studies Program, one of the largest and most comprehensive in the United States, offers nontraditional students the opportunity to pursue 64 degree programs.
